Wirecutting or Wire Electrical Discharge Machining is a process which passes an electrically charged wire through a workpeice submerged in a dielectric fluid. This process allows complex profiles to be cut in hardened materials which could not be machined using other methods. Often Wire EDM is used as a secondary operation for a CNC Machined part. Typical applications include punches and dies for tooling, keyways, splines and custom gears.
Our modern Fanuc Robocut α-C600iC is capable of cutting a variety of materials and surface finishes. Our machine is capable of larger jobs with a cutting area of 600x400mm, maximum workpeice size of 1050x820mm and a maximum height of 310mm.
